Whoa Whoa Whoa, Hay Hay Hay Large 864
This is my pony's favorite song, he sings it all the time. He sees a clump of hay on the ground, he STOPS. I thought the song was about somebody called Mrs Robinson, but I guess I was wrong! Noble Steed thinks life is a buffet without a sneeze guard.
Shirt is a luxurious long wearing Gildan Ultra Cotton Heavyweight shirt, 80% cotton, 20% polyesther. It has a look characteristic of a hand dyed garment. Anyone who knows about hand dying will know what it is when they see it. Fantastic greens! Machine wash/Tumble dry.
Exact size: Gildan Large, laid out flat, measured from arm pit to arm pit it is 24 inches, from sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff is 65 inches, and from the nape of the neck to the bottom hem is 29 inches.
PRIMITIVE SWEATSHIRTS are a blast to make and I like wearing them myself. They last for years in my rough throw it in the truck, throw it in the tack box, throw it on the floor, throw it in the washer and dryer lifestyle.
Primitive Folk Art is a style that looks old and long stored and quickly made with the materials at hand. Often, it’s not, really.
All my sweatshirts start with a brand new never worn sweatshirt. Sometimes I irregularly discharge the dye to make them look faded. Sometimes I hand dye them. The Gildan Heavyweight sweatshirts take the brilliant Procion colors so well that I can’t resist taking advantage and dying them bright non-prim colors.
I use a lot of hand stitching in big prim style stitches, but it’s decorative only. Everything is sewn on securely by machine. You can see that in the photo if the inside front.
The collage is made from new, up cycled, and hand dyed stuff. It’s mostly raw edge appliqué to get that good prim raveled look. It may need a bit of a haircut after a few washings. Just clip loose threads about a half inch or 1 cm from the shirt. Don’t pull a thread. My grandmother taught me: “Never pull a thread.”
All of my textile art comes from a smoke free home with cat patrol.
New line of batik English saddle pads coming soon, baboon.
Milpitas! No shipping if you can take delivery in Milpitas or IHR……It’s already here!
Shipping is First Class or Parcel Post. I can ship IPO or International. Sometimes the shipping calculator is funky so I have to send a new invoice or issue a refund.
Thanks,
Cara
